Observation Events at Music Speaks
An observation of a music therapy session is a wonderful opportunity to learn about and see for yourself the benefits of music therapy for different populations. Observations can also provide excellent insight into what a career in music therapy might look like from day to day, if this is a field you are considering for yourself in the future. These scheduled events are free and open to students of all ages.
When will the observation events occur?
There are 2 events this semester.
Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at 2pm PT, 5pm ET
Monday, December 7, 2026 at 4pm PT, 7pm ET
What can I expect from an Observation Event?
Each event is 1 hour in length.
Each event will be a different recorded and edited session to observe together.
The observed session and the event will be led by an MT-BC.
The time will consist of watching a recording, discussion of what is being observed, processing questions to the students, and also time for students to ask questions.
The event will not be recorded nor is the session video able to be distributed.
This event is for students only (ie - MT students, non-MT major students, high school students)
How do I sign up for an event?

Verification of attendance
Given our promise not to use or share participant information, we are not able to send out attendance lists of students coming to these events; however, we can send a summary of the video to any educator interested in following up with their students on the content observed as a way to verify their attendance. Educators, please contact us if you would like to request this summary. Thank you!
